The Background

With more than 500 industry experts from sports broadcasting and streaming, the OTT Series of which the Summit is part, is intended to equip industry leaders with the knowledge they need to deliver tangible business outcomes.

Topics at the 2021 Summit included, what fans want; how to monetise OTT sports broadcasting; real time streaming; and what it takes to build a successful sports brand. The Summit concluded with an Awards Ceremony.

The Challenge

Returning to live following the pandemic, SportsPro wanted to ensure they delivered the OTT Summit to the industry with a ‘bang’!

After several years of delivering virtual events, and with travel restrictions still impacting on visitors’ ability to attend live events in-person, organiser Yin Khoo, was well aware of the importance of having high quality video and footage for live and hybrid audiences. It was also important that that highlights from the day were captured at an exceptional standard to use in future promotions.

SportsPro chose Streeem for several reasons. One was the compact kit Streeem use, which allowed the team to film in hard-to-reach locations, such as on the roof of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and abseiling down it. As well as being highly mobile, there was no bulky rigging around the venue. Secondly, Yin knew she could put her trust in Dominic and the team to deliver her brief and that with Streeem on board, capturing footage of the event would be seamless.

The Approach

Streeem filmed across the two days of live, in-person event, as well as capturing footage from the two hybrid days that followed.


They worked closely with the on-site marketing team and understood that whatever needed to be done to make the event a success, had to be done. As well as their deliverables, the co-operative and professional attitude of the Streeem team was invaluable as it reflected on the reputations of SportsPro, a B2B business.

The footage Streeem filmed at the roof of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the opening of the first day was quickly edited so that it could be used at the event that day.

Streeem captured the speakers and keynote sessions that were delivered at the event, as well as interviewing many of the senior attendees, creating a bank of insight content as well as personal testimonials.

At the end of the Summit, Streeem also captured highlights from the Awards Ceremony which crowned the event.

Following the event, Streeem used all the footage captured across the four days to create a wrap-up highlights video which featured the speakers and attendees sharing insights and commenting on the value of the event. This video serves as a lasting promotional record of the outstanding OTT Summit which can be used in future promotional pieces, extending the legacy of the OTT Summit.

There were more than 100 speakers drawn from 80 countries around the world and over 100 hours of insight content was captured.

Over 500 attendees were at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in-person and many more joined the Summit online. 70% of these attendees were senior decision makers.
